Moravian Carst

A tour of the cave complexes of the Moravian Karst

Delve deep into the Moravian Karst. The largest and most beautiful karst area in central Europe is a place where visitors have their breath taken clean away.

The Moravian Karst is the largest and best developed karst area, with the widest variety of karst phenomena, in the Czech Republic and is one of the most important in Central Europe. In the area there are more than 1100 caves and only 5 are open to public. We will visit the Punkva cave, which is the most popular for visitors.  During the tour of the cave we will reach the bottom of the Macocha Abyss and will cruise the underground river. On the way back to Brno we will make a stop at Krtiny village, found in the Moravian Karst, where a beautiful church in the Name of the Virgin Mary, designed by Santini’s workshop, is located.
